SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:

The human mage turned dragon, Elefseria, lets Team Natsu know that in the past, he defeated the Earth Dragon god, Dogramag. However, the price was Elefseria’s heart. He survived using magic to create a substitute in order to survive. Dogramag’s remains are in the labyrinth. As Elefseria flies them to the labyrinth, explains that it was created from Dogramag’s overflow magic. Further, it continues to expand year by year.

Elefseria fears that Diabolos may be after his heart, which he believes survived in the labyrinth. If his heart it there, consuming it would give Diabolos the power of law, which would grant them immense knowledge. When they arrive at the entrance of the labyrinth, they find Laxus, Gajeel, and Lily waiting, confused on how they got there.

Selene reveals herself in dragon form. She turns the day to night with a full moon and declares that things are beginning.

Thoughts/Review:

Well, things certainly got weird in Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 93. The explanation for this sixth dragon god is fine with me. But it is whacked that the dragon Dogramag consumed Elefseria’s heart, yet his heart is still there somehow. Further, while I get that “magic” explains how Elefseria is still alive, things are still a huge stretch as far as I’m concerned.

I also get the feeling “Dogramag’s not dead yet” from this chapter. Seriously, when I read the chapter, I had the thought from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, where there was an ongoing joke about people “not quite dead yet” and “he’s getting better”. 😂 I could be wrong, but the “living” labyrinth stands out to me.

Maybe it is just the residue magic from the dead earth dragon. OR, maybe Dogramag simply took on a new form. Then again, he could be resurrecting, and the labyrinth is simply a means of gathering energy to do so. Selene seems to know more, otherwise she wouldn’t send Diabolos. If nothing else, maybe she wants Dogramag resurrected since she seems to love chaos. We’ll see what happens.

Final Thoughts and Conclusion

In the end, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 93 sets up some sort of new battle between Diabolos, and a reinforced Team Natsu.
